The Twoleg kits squealed as the object that they were playing with flew near Ninjapaw and Darkpaw. Quickly, they scampered to the thing, getting quite close to the two ShadowClan apprentices...

"No, don't!" Darkpaw yowled. He didn't bother to notice the Twoleg kits as he leaped at Ninjapaw, trying to push him away. Even if the Twolegs hurt the kit, it's in the past now! It shouldn't matter anymore, he thought, his pelt bristling.

The Twoleg kit that Ninjapaw bit shrieked in an alarmingly loud voice. The other one, who witnessed Ninjapaw chomping on the kit's hand, also began screaming, and it looked like it was crying.
A loud noise sounded, and a wall of the den that looked like a thin, solid sheet of water slid open. A fully grown Twoleg ran out, hearing the wailing, and approached the kit. The kit blubbered something through its tears, and the Twoleg turned its gaze on Ninjapaw.
The Twoleg started towards Ninjapaw with what looked like an angry face, growling something. It then picked Ninjapaw up by the scruff, holding him at arms length so he couldn't claw the Twoleg, and showed the kits, beginning to coo in a soothing voice. The kits calmed down, and stared at Ninjapaw in interest. They smiled, and said something to the older Twoleg.
The older Twoleg stood there for a minute, and then nodded. Then, with Ninjapaw still held, he started off for the nest with the kits, about to walk into the nest...

The Twoleg said something fondly to Ninjapaw, ruffling the fur on his head. Then, saying something to the kits, he stepped inside the nest with Ninjapaw and the kits and shut the water-wall.

The Twoleg smiled, since Ninjapaw seemed to like the attention. It held the apprentice more gently now, since it figured things were fine with the cat. Walking into a part of the nest that had a padded floor, he set the black apprentice down inside a soft, nest-like thing that was like one in the apprentices' den, but softer...
Then, the Twoleg disappeared for a moment, and came back with a bowl full of creamy, tantilizing stuff and another with some white liquid in it... milk.

"NINJAPAW!" Darkpaw wailed, running towards the Twolegs. The door shut right in his face and he tumbled backward, rolling head over paws. He landed on his belly and quickly leaped to his feet, shaking his fur. He walked up to the door and peered inside, seeing Ninjapaw. No, no, no!! he thought. This is SO bad! He whimpered and looked around the nest, trying to find someway to get in. He then saw an opening that had the same material this water-wa;; was made of and leaped onto a small ledge outside it.
Darkpaw squeezed himself in and looked around nervously, wondering where Ninjapaw was now. I have to find him! He then dashed behind a large wooden table and hid under it, trying to pick up Ninjapaw's scent.

The Twoleg came back into the room, followed by the kits. He (it seemed like a he, anyways) said something nicely to Ninjapaw, petting him again, and then he saw Darkpaw sitting on the window-sill. The Twoleg let out a cry of shock, and began starting towards him in a huff, but then the kits began wailing at something.
The Twoleg let out a sigh, and then picked up Darkpaw, putting him down in the bed with Ninjapaw. The kits knelt down and began stroking both cats, a bit roughly but nicely all the same.

Darkpaw ducked away from them, letting out a hiss. "Ninjapaw, we need to get out of here!" he whispered to him. He then leaped out of the soft material and darted across the room, hiding beneath a large object that seemed to be made out of hard leaves, or it felt like it anyways (the couch).

Ninjapaw followed Darkpaw, but not fast. "What are you doing darkpaw?" Ninjapaw asked. "thier nice" Ninjapaw said.
