Investigating the Twolegs

[Ninjapaw]

"anything wrong?" Ninjapaw asked. "largestar send a cat to find us by now."

[Darkpaw]

"Everything is wrong!" Darkpaw snapped, letting out a low growl. "First, you get caught by the Twolegs. Second, I try to come in here to save you and get trapped myself. And third, we are going to be in big trouble if we don't find our way out!" Darkpaw's pelt was bristling, his tail lashing back and forth. He dug his claws into the soft floor, gritting his teeth together to hold back a retort he wanted to yowl at Ninjapaw.

[Ninjapaw]

"darkpaw? just have faith in StarClan." Ninjapaw said as he lay down on the floor

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw growled. "Faith," he spat. He cursed under his breath and stalked to the water-wall. He unsheathed his claws and slashed at it, leaving a claw mark in it. Curse these Twolegs! he thought, narrowing his eyes as he watched the two kits play outside. I'll get my revenge. I will. Then I'll escape with Ninjapaw, IF he even wants to leave; I think he's starting to like the life of a kittypet. He chuckled once, turning away from the water-wall and slipping under the leaf-object (couch). He curled up near the back and put his tail over his nose, wanting to get some rest.

[Ninjapaw]

"YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M SICK OF YOU BEENING NEGATIVE! fox dung." Ninjapaw snapped.

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw hissed and crawled out from where he was, stalking over to Ninjapaw until he stood nose-to-nose with him. "I don't care if you can't deal with it!" he spat. "I'm not the one who got us into this mess!" His tail lashed, the fur around his neck beginning to bristle.

[Ninjapaw]

"Someone is looking for us. i just know it." Ninjapaw said. "do u think there is a other cat here?"

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw took a step back, narrowing his eyes. "I don't think there is," he muttered. "All I can smell is Twolegs and a kittypet." He then turned around and slipped back under the couch, curling up again. He closed his eyes and drifted off into a light sleep.

Darkpaw opened his eyes to find himself back in ShadowClan territory. Birds fluttered in the trees and mice and other rodents scurried through the undergrowth; he could tell it was late newleaf, maybe greenleaf. "Hello?" he called, wondering if anyone was there.

There was a low chuckle and a dark shape appeared from the bushes; it was a muscular tom with dark brown fur, black legs, and ice blue eyes. "You have been doing well, my son," the tom said in a deep voice.

Darkpaw''s eyes widened and he stumbled back a few steps. "Y-you aren't my dad!" he stuttered.

The tom chuckled. "I am your realdad, Darkpaw. Your mother had to hide who I was so she could protect you; I once lived in RiverClan."

Darkpaw's heart thudded in his ears, his blood racing through his veins. He was half RiverClan? "B-but....Then, what's y-your name?" he asked in a weak voice.

"My name is Shadowclaw," he replied. "I have been watching over you in StarClan for a while now; I am impressed on how much you are turning out like me."

Darkpaw shivered. "Is that supposed to be a good thing?" he asked nervously.

Shadowclaw snorted. "Of course!" he snapped. He then leaned down and murmured in Darkpaw's ear, "I know your ambitions, and I have a few words of advice: Trust no one." Shadowclaw then turned around and disappeared into the bushes.

"Wait!" Darkpaw called, running towards his father. But everything then went black, and he felt as if he were falling into nothing. Suddenly, his eyes shot opened and he yowled, finding himself sprawled out on the floor under the couch. His brething was fast, his heart hammering in his chest. What did Shadowclaw mean when he said that he knew my ambitions? Darkpaw wondered. He groaned and laid his head on the floor, trying to calm his breathing.

[Ninjapaw]

"Are you okay, Darkpaw?" Ninjapaw said worried. "You been out for a long time" He said. He saw the twolegs doing something.

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw didn't reply at first. He sighed quietly, finally able to be calm again. "How long have I been asleep?" he asked, his tail twitching. He came out from under the couch and shook out his pelt. He sat down and began to rasp his tongue over his ruffled fur, tilting one ear so it stayed facing Ninjapaw for when he responded.

[Ninjapaw]

"A few Hours. almost a day. So what happened you had a bad dream?" Ninjapaw asked.

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw paused momentarily from his washing and murmured, "Yeah, it was just a bad dream." He then licked his paw and swiped it over his ears a few times, not making eye contact with Ninjapaw. He had been thinking over what his father Shadowclaw had said, and he finally realized his ambition: to become Clan leader. Well, if I shouldn't trust anyone, and it will help me to become leader in the future, then I'll trust what my father said, Darkpaw thought, staring at his paws. I can't just ignore his advice.

[Ninjapaw]

Ninjapaw was worried. " Darkpaw? Are you sure you are ok?" Ninjapaw said.

[Darkpaw]

"I'll be fine," Darkpaw insisted, looking up at Ninjapaw with narrowed eyes. He stood up and stretched, letting out a yawn before laying down with his paws tucked under him. "Have the Twolegs been up to anything?" he asked curiously, trying to change the subject away from himself.

[Ninjapaw]

"yeah, they kits were running around. And they bought a another cat." Ninjapaw answered. ninjapaw was still worried about Darkpaw. "this is my fault if i didn't dare you we would be eating fresh kill....." Ninjapaw said in sadness.
