Nightstar eventually padded towards the WindClan border, feeling rather at ease now. She wasn't exactly sure why, but it became evident soon.
The trees at the edge of the forest were blossoming into white flowers up above her, making sweet scents waft through the air. Newleaf has come, Nightstar thought excitedly. It wouldn't be long before the slower-flowering trees in most of the forest would be covered in blossoms too. With the feeling of spring in the air, Nightstar contentedly snuffled around, looking for any prey.
A mole quickly made itself evident to her, and before the small rodent could react and withdraw into his burrow, Nightstar had pounced on it, delivering a fatal bite into its neck. Pleased with herself, Nightstar sat down for a bit to admire the beauty of the surroundings.
