This day started out as any Pokémon adventure would. Except this time, we join a new Pokémon trainer named Emily Notch, who starts her adventure a little bit early at the age of 8 in the region of Morrah...
"Now, Emily, I know you're responsible enough to do this, but please, be careful."
"I know, mother," said a little girl.
Emily Notch was a little, nine-year old girl. A Pokémon lover, she had finally graduated from school, and now took on the path of a pokémon trainer. Extremely smart and intellectual, she graduated far earlier, having skipped grades, than the rest of her friends. Today was the most exciting day for any trainer....
"Oh no!" Emily cried, grabbing her backpack. She rushed to the front doors and slipped on her pink, white and black sneakers. She then grabbed the rather large sling-bag on the floor and hurried out the front door. "Goodbye, mother! I'm leaving!"As Emily ran out, she could hear her mother wishing her luck.
((Please note NOW that Morrah is a new region, but with NO NEW
PKMN! After all -- I can write and draw, but not design even a DOZEN new PKMN by MYSELF!))
"I'm going to be late late late!" she said to herself as she ran. She was headed to the Observatory, which was also Professor Gilligan's laboratory, and where Emily was heading to get her first pokémon.
Unlike in other regions, the Morrah Region offered a broader choice in first pokémon. Since the laboratory was also sort of like the 'Pokémon Pound', there were also second stage pokémon and first stage pokémon there as well -- but first-time trainers were not allowed the privilege of having those pokémon as their starters.
Instead, the eggs that were produced in the Pokémon Pound were incubated, hatched, and given as starter pokémon. Emily wondered what she would choose... Maybe... a Pikachu! Or... a dratini? Or perhaps maybe a chimecho? She didn't know what to think! All these choices seemed so good! But now -- Emily forgot where she was going...
CRASH!
"Oh dear!" Emily cried, rubbing her head.
"I'm sorry," said an boy's voice. Looking up, Emily realized who she had hit. It was one of her friends -- a had-been senior from her school; Jason McToick. He had brown dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes. So different from Emily's silky, straight black hair and oceanic blue eyes...
The boy held his hand out to help Emily up. Emily accepted his help, then brushed the dust off her frilly white and black dress. It had pink ribbons here and there, and matched her shoes perfectly. "Jason, what are you doing here?" Emily asked, looking at her former senior.
Jason shrugged. "I work part time for Mr Groggan, remember?" He pointed to the bicycle Emily had nearly knocked down. In the front basket was three bottle of milk and two slabs of butter. Emily knew who Mr Groggan was -- he was the local dairyman.
"Oh yeah," Emily sighed. She glanced at her watch, and at that very moment...
...realized how very late she was.
"Ah!" she yelped, and ran off, waving back behind her. "I'm really late now! See you around, Jason!" she cried as she hurried on her way. She was really late now. She hoped that Professor Gilligan would still give her her pokémon like this!
