Darkpaw was prowling through the bushes, his ears pricked for any sounds of prey. He narrowed his amber eyes as he peered through the undergrowth, wishing that newleaf would come already. I hope I can find something here, he thought, his tail tip twitching irritably. He then turned his head and strained his ears as he heard voices not too far away. He scented the air and picked up the scents of Ninjapaw and Morningpaw. He grinned mischieviously and thought, Time to have some fun.

As quietly as if he were stalking a mouse, he quietly padded towatds the other two aprentices, keeping low to the ground. His eyes were fixed on them, a mischeivious glint in their amber depths. He then stopped a few tail-lengths away, getting ready to pounce out to surprise them.

[Ninjapaw]

"hmm? I smell something" Ninjapaw said to Morningpaw. Ninjapaw contiued to walk.

[Darkpaw]

Darkpaw froze for a moment, waiting for Ninjapaw and Morningpaw to continue on. I need to be quieter, he thought. Slowly, he crept forward, sliding his paws along the ground so as not to make much noise. As he got closer, he stopped and bunched the muscles in his hind legs. Suddenly, Darkpaw sprang and yowled triumphantly as he aimed to land onto Ninjapaw's back, claws sheathed so he wouldn't hurt him.
