Inershia stopped running, panting.
"I think.... I got the she-cat.. away from me." she panted.
Then she looked down at the Sandy Hollow.
What is this stuff? She wondered.
Panting, she walked down into the Sandy Hollow.
"What is this stuff!?" she yelped in surprise as she pawed the sand. "It's so... weird." she said to herself. "Oh, well. I guess this is better than the foul-smelling bins I used to sleep near..." she trailed off, wandering around the Sandy Hollow. Then, she heard something rustling in the bushes. Silently but quickly, she ran towards it. She jumped and howled in surprise when a rabbit jolted out of a bush, and dashed towards the forest. "Holy!" she said quickly, laying down on the soft grass outside of the Sandy Hollow. She quickly went to sleep, aware of all the noises and movement around her.

Nightstar had taken a different route than the dog, and she managed to quietly get next to her. She noticed the dog seemed alert, whether she was asleep or not, so she mewed "Listen. ThunderClan will leave you in peace if you do not harm us. You may stay on our territory as long as you wish, in fact. We will allow you to hunt, if you want..."
Nightstar sighed. "Honestly, you seem like a peculiar dog, Inershia. You do not wish to mindlessly harm cats, you in fact want to keep peace and you can speak with them..."
Almost running away at what she was about to say, she then mewled, "Besides an alliance between ThunderClan and you... would you like to be friends? I know it sounds absurd between dog and cat, but I think it would benefit both of us, and I kind of like your style..."
Nightstar sat, waiting for an answer. She hoped Inershia would answer soon, as she needed to get back to camp to inform her Clanmates of their visitor, and hopeful ally, so they would not try to harm or be afraid of her...
She sighed. I hope my Clanmates do not take badly to making friends with a dog.

Inershia opened one eye, ears still pricked. "Fine. It is fine by me, but I do not know how to hunt. We may be.. "friends". But if you hurt me, or plot against me, I will hurt you."
She then went into a deep sleep, not alert any more.
The next morning, Inershia woke up startled from her surroundings. Then, she remembered the previous night and settled down. "I guess I'll have to find some food..." she yawned. Then she remembered how the she-cat had followed her to the Sandy Hollow, and looked around. She didn't see the she-cat, so she decided to find something to eat.
"I don't know how to hunt... but I bet I could find something else to eat..." she said to herself sleepily. Then, she got up, and trotted towards the bush she had seen the bunny come out of. With a jolt of excitement, she noticed it was there again, and too scared to move. Inershia decided to take advantage, and pounced on the bunny. Picking it up, she threw it aside and howled, "This is the most horrible thing I've ever tasted!" But then she thought Well, pft, it sure is better than starving out in this place. and she slowly started to eat it.
When she was done, she sat down, and scratched at her mouth, disgusted. "I should've stayed with my stupid housefolk..." she said quietly.

(dis was still last night when this post here happened)
Nightstar was trotting back to the camp, immersed in thought. I hope that Inershia can figure out hunting... has she even hunted before?
Blinking, she figured that the dog would probably come and find her if she was having trouble. She had told her that she could hunt if she wished, but just not to take more than was necessary, as food was scarce in leaf-bare as is. However, the dog could always look around on the other territories if she wanted. The other Clans couldn't do much if a dog decided to hunt there.
Nightstar quickened her pace. I'd better get back to camp and tell the others about Inershia so that my Clanmates do not harm her... they may not take kindly to a dog, but still, once they hear of her being unlike most dogs personality wise... most dogs were total mousebrains, but she was intelligent...

Inershia groaned at her stomach, and layed down at the spot she had before. I guess I'll just wait here until that cat comes back... she thought to herself and she layed her head on her paws, and let out a sigh.

After waiting for a while, Inershia decided to track the cat down. She got up, and very carefully started following the scent trail that she had smelled in the camp.

Inershia, after 14 years, finally reappeared. She had circled the earth, and never found the cat, but ended up where she started.
