Inershia whined as she picked out the thorns from her journey to the cat camp. She looked around to see if any cats were there, but saw none. "I could've sworn I smelled something peculiar here..." she mumbled under her breath. Then, out of nowhere, she lets out a howl.- "HELLOOOO PEOPLE OF THE BRUSH!" Inershia army crawls up to the top of the Highrock, being amused by all the cat scents. Then, suddenly, retreats back into the brush.

Nightstar yowled in surprise. "Great STARCLAN, WHAT WAS THAT!"
Spinning around, she saw a greyish dog standing on the Highledge. She froze. "A-a dog?" she wailed. "Now of all times!"
She couldn't help but also think now that will wake those apprentices up...
Racing towards the Highledge, she lept up. Then, she nearly clawed herself in the face. How could she understand the creature? It could speak cat? Maybe she could convince it to not attack if she could talk to it. But if not, there was always her claws...
Tentatively, she mewed, "Who are you, she-dog?" Then, she about clawed herself again. She hoped she hadn't insulted it by calling it a she dog, but she was sure it WAS female... "Are you here to fight, or are you passing through? If you dare lay a tooth on us, you realize our numbers are many here in ThunderClan..."
She knew it was a bluff, as all there was were her, the apprentices, and Dawnflower, but she didn't think the dog would be able to tell that just by scent...
Suddenly, the dog ran quickly away, startling Nightstar. "Hey, wait!" she called. She knew this was wrong, but the dog was interesting her to the fact that it spoke cat... maybe it was friendly?
She scrambled up the Highledge, following it. Well, the apprentices are apparently going to be sleeping in for awhile... she thought, huffing to keep up.

Inershia stopped, looking at the she-cat. "You may be wondering how I speak cat," she said, "but it is not any of your business. You following me through the woods isn't, either. And you have many cats, as I could smell, but I am bigger. Numbers wouldn't matter much."
Then, she turned to face the she-cat.
"And," she continued, "I was merely passing through this territory when I smelled your strange scent." Inershia sat down, wagging her tail hard but very slowly. "I don't know how you manage to keep up with me, and I know you are not a kittypet by the smells of you. I wish to keep peace, but I am going to stay out here for a while longer. Those foul-smelling bins back in the allyway does not make a good place to live." Inershia stopped wagging her tail, and scratched her head with her back leg. "My name is Inershia, by the way."
She then ran off into the distance, towards the Sandy Hollow.

Nightstar blinked, and then followed the dog. "Hold on!" she yowled. "There is more I wish to say! I am glad of peace, but wait!"
Seeing that the dog was still running, she kept up. She seemed to be heading towards the hollow...

Inershia yelped and howled as she charged her way through the thorn bushes, once again. When she got into the camp, she sat down and started picking out the thorns one by one, again. She then looked up, smelling the air. The she-cat's scent she had smelled earlier on her treck here was now blended in with a bunch of other scents.
"Hellooooo?!" she wailed.
Hearing no response, she layed down at the base of the high rock, waiting.

Nightstar spotted Inershia on her way out of the camp.
"Hello," she greeted her. "how are things?"
Then, she shivered. "B-r-r-r-r, leaf-bare sure is cold. It's a wonder that we're not all covered in snow!"
"Now, I'm going to go hunt." she purred. "You can come if you like, or stay around here, or whatever, but don't startle the apprentices, they might get feisty if you do."

Inershia looked at the she-cat. "Wait!" she wailed. "Well, it wouldn't be good if I actually came to hunt, for I would liek.. scare all the prey away, due to my inexperience. And how could you be cold?! It's hot out here!" she howled, looking at her thick coat of fur.
"Erm.. oh. Maybe that's why. You all don't have much fur... do you? I mean, not much thick fur." she quickly said.
Then, as quiet as she could, she crept out through the gorse, wailing and howling her way through. Then she howled, "I am going to go check out river!"

Nightstar shrugged. "Yeah, but it sure feels a lot better come greenleaf. And I suppose if you don't want to come, I'll head out then. See you in awhile!" she purred, and she scampered off through the forest's undergrowth, and out of sight.
