It was a cool, crisp fall evening. A black and white cat was sitting on a cold black steel fence in the back yard of a home to two humans. The one of the humans in the house were calling the cat back into the house, they called the cat TumTum. TumTum just ignored them and continued to stare into the woods were a stream lead off into. A ginger cat jumped up on the fence and broke the silence when the cat said “What ya doing.”
“Hi Garfield, I was just staring into the wood.” mewed TumTum.
“Where is your collar?” asked Garfield.
“I manage to get that wretched thing off. I hate that thing” TumTum retorted back.
“You don’t have to claw my ears off, I was just asking.” Garfield replied as he started to clean his ears.
“What do you think the forest is like?” TumTum said changing the subject.
“All I know is that there are wild cats that are twice the size of us that live in there. That’s what my mom told me before I was taken away from her.” replied Garfield, “She said that they eat live mice, rabbits, and fish instead of our food. You can run and be free. It sounds like fun but it looks dangerous”
“I made up my mind I am going into the forest tonight.” TumTum said.
“What, are you crazy? Those wild cats will kill you.” Garfield said shocked.
“Garfield,” TumTum said quietly, “I am going whether you like it or not.” She said more firmly. TumTum jumped off the fence and walked into the woods.
((This is my first warrior cats fan fic. I started this last year and put it off till now.))

TumTum was padding through the trees with all sense on alert. She heard a rustling in a bush near by, when the rustling stop a mouse darted into a couple of leaves. TumTum got down into a hunter’s crouch. Gently touching the ground TumTum stalked the mouse until she was close enough to trap it. As she was about to pounce on the mouse a noise scared it and the mouse saw TumTum and dashed off. TumTum looked up to see what scared her prey to see a gray tabby cat staring at her from a nearby bush.
She backed up a few paces then began to run. The cat began to chase her back to her home. After a few moments of being chased TumTum turned to attack her attacker. The attacking cat stopped and jumped on her back. TumTum rolled on her back and the attack worked. The attacking cat was crushed under the weight if her.
TumTum jumped up off the cat and puffed out her fur and hissed. The cat pulled it’s self up and started to lick its ruffled fur. “Hey there housecat,” said the cat, “What are you doing in a dangerous place like this.”
Confused TumTum asked “Why did you attack me? I didn’t do anything to you?” TumTum said as she backed away.
“Yes you were. You were stealing my clans prey,” Said the wild cat.
