i am so so on this rumor i got some pretty good info.
1. on warriorcats.com on ask erin hunter when someone asked
what do you think about the crow leaf and jay rumor she replied as if she had never known about the rumor.
2 it could have easily been that leafpool had the kit(maybe kits) outside of camp and secretly gave them to squirrelflight to call her own . also leafpool gave them fleece and honey comb . jaypaw said she was losening them up but what if she was just being a good mother. ;D i know alot! ;D

Uh, I've heard that rumor before, but I'm pretty sure it's not true, cause I think Hunter actually squashed it. Plus most of the stuff in the books add up to it not being so.
Though I think it would be cool. If it's true, then I might have some history to think about for my character... >_>

hey i support the theory!!!!! and nightstar the books according to this video, say that they point to the possiblity that jaypaw is leafpools son!!!!!!!!!!! here is a video that i think says it all!!!!!!

true that does kinda make more sense, but dawnflower is right leafpool is firestars kin and so is squrrelflight..... did i spell that right??
the prophecy states that there will be there..... squrrelflight- hollyleaf, and lionblaze. leafpool- jaypaw, it does not have to be three of one daughter. but it is possible for a combined of two daughter's kits. So this just makes me believe it more than ever... so nightstar and rainstar's suggestions have been closed so really all we have is statements that say its true!!!!!!!!

I really do support this rumor as well. When I went to go see Erin Hunter(Victoria Holmes), she told everyone there that the truth to the rumor would be revealed in The Power of Three, Book 5:Long Shadows. Exciting huh?!?!?!

Hmmm... Though I never said I support it or not, cause I'm not sure, but still I'm going to point out some things.
First, you forget that a cat's coloring does not necessarily depend on its parents, as most cats are not of totally pure blood even with "pure breds" because they have not been strictly bred like dogs are. And Clan cats definitely are not pure bred, so the color of the parents wouldn't matter.
Two, when it said she was "plump" that could have just really meant she was well fed.
Three, Jaypaw might have been named for his coat color, cause it's sort of bluish from what I have seen. Or maybe just they picked the name.
Four, the reason he was taken to Leafpool may have been cause she was potentially his mother, but also don't forget she's the MEDICINE CAT and he needed looking over.
Though I can't really argue with the blindness, that could easily be part of it. Also, I've read after sunset, and it does seem pointless, so that could be it...
I don't know, I just can't wait to find out! ;D

I know, I can't wait to find out either!!! I am SOOOOOOOO pre-ordering the book!!! I guess Nightstar could have a point, but both sides of the rumor are basically made off of coincidences. ( Did I spell that right?)

I own Long Shadows (thank you, Rainstar's mother!  ) and I have finished it already. SPOILEROkay, look, there is a spoiler below. If you do not want to read it, just get out of this thread. Okay, I've warned you.  Okay, none of the three are descended from Squirrelflight. She revealed it herself. They haven't figured out it is Leafpool yet, neither will have fans who did not hear of the Leafpool theory, but she is the only one who makes sense since I am positive they are the three talked of in the prophecy. So, the Leafpool Theory is true. 8O Which means I will be a fourth cat that was in that litter but they don't mention me in the book... I'll think up a backstory on that. So I'm descended from Leafpool! So I'm not Tigerstar's kin either. In your face, Shiningpaw. I'm part WindClan, but I never show it either, cause I am not faster than other cats, love the water, and want nothing to do with my WindClan roots other than dealing with them as a leader of ThunderClan, and nothing more. So I am part WindClan, but my character has contempt for Crowfeather, and some pity for Leafpool, etc. That decides my backstory... So, Long Shadows is good, but it leaves you hanging... >.< |
