We are considering moving to Zetaboards. I have talked to Rainstar about it, and now I just need the answers of Largestar and Cracklestar. In the meantime, what do you think? We will only make the move after the ZetaBoard is all finished, and we will hopefully not wait at all to RP there. ZetaBoards has more features, and is just plain WAY BETTER than ProBoards. This hopefully would be a permenant home for WC. If you want to preview what is up and coming potentially, visit s1.zetaboards.com/warriorcatstherpgBe prepared for potentially bad skins, though, if I haven't put one on yet. XD

Hmmm... I'm not sure. I like ZetaBoards, but I also like ProBoards. Would we be able to move all boards, topics, and posts to the new forum? Also, I don't really care about being "professional." Seriously, our members range in age from ten to twelve.
EDIT: Whoops, I meant 13. Don't know why I said 12, but whatever

Update on what would happen:
We would retain all of our boards, etc. though I am not sure on topics and posts, since it could get hectic trying to move them all.
A lot of our members are 13+, including me, you know. XD
It's not just more professional, it's plain better.
For example, for each member group there are things called permission sets that you make (they can be shared between groups) that tell what boards they can view, read posts, reply, and start threads on.
Also, you can do many of the things that are possible on here only through hacking normally, which greatly reduces lag on the site. (And it's pretty sad when the site's own admin cannot get on her own site due to extreme slow loading.)
The domain name can be changed at will, so if we ever decided to change the name for whatever reason, we can.
More settings are available, you can have avatar folders and more reliable stuff...
Skinning can be a pain in the ass is my only gripe, but it is still much more specific if you want, and you can tweak it more because you are working with the raw CSS code.
There is a portal, which is like a news and info screen that displays many of the last posts, members online, news, and custom blocks for it can be made such as member of the week, etc.
New pages that are not boards, but made entirely from scratch can be made and put on the menu bar where home, rules, etc. is located, making a good host for extras like a seperate chatroom if we wanted, etc. or informational pages like allegiances.
The list goes on and on, and it is highly advantegeous. Hopefully this will be a good permenant home for WC: tRPG unless we happen to actually obtain something excellent like vBulletin, which I do not plan to get because it is paid for XD
Hopefully it will end up permenant.
Also, I cannot think of anything that can be done on ProBoards that cannot be done on ZetaBoards.

Members is something I was thinking about that I forgot to mention. When we left the last Freewebs site, we lost quite a few members. I don't want that to happen again, especially now that we're just getting enough members to RP.

I'm not going to wait for those inactive people. Once we decide to make the move, if we do, and every board is made, I'm goin to say screw it and RP. XD
And before we would move, I would make sure everything is ready and shiny clean and waiting for us so we don't have to have a...
...dreadfully...
...long...
...Wait, like last time.
And I plan for this to be the last move unless we get an emergency and get kicked off line, or something.
Plus, those members never get on anyways. And I'll send out a mass e-mail telling them to get their butts on the new site if they want to see us again.
There's another benefit: Making boards on Zeta is not such a pain in the arse if you're making a bunch, since there's only one screen per board instead of three or four. XP
And that's one thing that I really HATED when making this site. XD

:I
We're thinking of moving to a new forum/URL, Smokepaw. -^____^
I think both are good -- and I agree with Cracklestar. ^^

Woot Honeymilk ftw. I'd actually rather not move, even though I think I voted that I didn't care.

Well I like the zeta boards because you can see the subboards and plus if we do look professional, won't that attract more players??

Probably.
And we would keep RPing where we're at, no starting over or anything. I assumed you all knew that, but just throwing that out.
And we'd wait until the new site was done before we moved.
In fact, I was figuring we'd trial the new site for a week or two and then decide whether it's a good permenant home.
